Fix It is a son-father operation.
Nick Smith (son) is the
Operations Director and is responsible for the day to day running of the business.
At 25, Nick has a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial flair. He started part-time
employment at the age of 12, and at 15, while still at school, he established his own
business assembling and selling computers. His belief in Wheel Fix It™ and its potential
has led to Nick putting his commerce degree studies “on hold” for the
time being.
In early 2005, Nick
secured the rights to the UK manufactured Wheel Doctor equipment (patent no.2341568)
for the quick repair of extensive curb damage on alloy wheels. His attention to customer
service along with a very high quality repair has seen the business grow rapidly.
His next move was to employ
Tim (his Dad) to provide capital for expansion and to promote the franchise system.
Tim works in the business now as the Finance Director and looks after all the administration
tasks and is also responsible for franchise sales.
Nick now runs 4 mobile units in Auckland all operated by highly experienced
(over 40 years combined) and qualified technicians. He has also established a workshop
at 104 Wairau Rd, Glenfield.
